Kyle went missing on Thursday night/Friday morning November, 8/9th between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. He was last seen at Buckhead Saloon in uptown Charlotte leaving on cameras at 2:20 am.
Kyle did not return home or to his vehicle, he did not make it in to work. He called his sister at 2:19 before leaving the bar at 2:20. There is a gap of about an hour before he called myself at 3:28 and his room mate Bruce at 3:29. Kyle did not leave any messages and his phone was dead in the morning.
Kyle has not been in contact with any family or friends since. We are not sure what time he left the bar because his Debit card was left there. As far as we know he did not have any cash either and Kyle does not have any credit cards. The Charlotte hospitals, jails, and detox centers have not addmitted him either. They also did not have any "john does" that morning. A missing persons report was filed Friday the 9th at 10:00 p.m. with the police.
Kyle is 6' even, about 180 lbs., green eyes, and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pea coat, jeans, and black dress shoes. His hair was gelled and probably looked a little darker than his natural color.
A footsearch was done on November 13th, with no results.
Please send this on to anyone in the greater Charlotte area so they can share this information with their friends and family. Help spread the word as far as possible! Any help people can provide in the search will be greatly appreciated. If you or anyone you know has any information that might be helpful please contact Daniel Scagnelli or Kyle's father, Richard Fleischmann.
Richard Fleischmann says this picture of his son shows Kyle's character. Kyle worked with special needs children.
View LargerKyle Fleischmann is an all-American guy. The handsome, 6'0" tall Elon graduate is well liked, and his friends and family say he's very outgoing and fun to be around. While he attended Elon, Kyle was Vice President of his fraternity where he was actively involved community service initiatives. His friends say Kyle liked to have a good time and had his head on straight. So the nature of his sudden disappearance after a night out with friends and family has Kyle's loved ones fearing the worst.
On Thursday, November 8, Kyle caught Dane Cook's stand-up act at Bobcats Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. Kyle's mother and sister were also in the audience, and when the show ended Kyle and his friends walked to Buckhead Saloon, where he met his family.
Kyle's friends and family left the bar while Kyle stayed back, until the Saloon's security camera captured images of the 24-year-old exciting the bar around 2:20 a.m. Kyle made several phone calls between then and 3:30 a.m. but didn't leave any messages, and hasn't been heard from since. Kyle returned to neither his car nor his home, and all calls that have since been made to his cell have gone straight to his voicemail.
Police say the activity on his cell phone after leaving the Saloon is concentrated in the uptown Charlotte area and the 1st ward area. His cell phone activity ended around 4:00 a.m.
Now, Kyle's family and friends are mounting a search. On November 13, they conducted a massive search effort, starting at the Buckhead Saloon where he was last seen. They say they'll continue to look for Kyle until he is found.
