WITH STILL no word on the whereabouts of Michael Christopher Bolton, RCMP are more and more concerned for the young man, with foul play now a possibility.

Bolton was reported missing on July 9 and was last seen on May 3.

Originally, police were told that Bolton had boarded a Greyhound Bus, but further investigation found that Bolton had never purchased a ticket.

It is now suspected that Bolton was hitchhiking, and RCMP later received reports of sightings in the Terrace region.

Relatives of the teen were in Terrace last week, putting up posters and asking about his whereabouts.

Bolton has not been in contact with family or friends, Sgt. Sean Wadelius said, and has not returned the multiple phone calls RCMP have made to his cell phone.

There is also a Facebook page dedicated to the male, which displayed possible sightings in the feed that RCMP were monitoring, however none of those reports proved fruitful and lately the site has not had much activity.

With continued non-contact, Sgt. Wadelius said there are three possibilities: either Bolton left of his own volition and does not wish anyone to know of his whereabouts; he left the area despondent with the intent to do himself harm; or some form of ill has occurred.

"We are now beginning to suspect foul play," Sgt. Wadelius said. "There has been no trace of him."

Anyone with information regarding Bolton is asked to contact the Houston RCMP at 250-845-2204, or Crimestoppers, at 1-800-222-TIPS.
